If you're a cinema geek, you might remember this company's theaters on your drive through town. Landmark Theatres operates the nation's largest art-house chain, showing first-run independent and foreign films, as well as restored classics and other non-traditional studio movies. It has about 60 theaters in more than 20 markets in the US. The chain was founded in Los Angeles in 1974 with the acquisition of the historic Nuart Theatre. It is part of entertainment and sports mogul Mark Cuban and his business partner Todd Wagner's 2929 Entertainment.
