The Middlesex Corporation

You might find The Middlesex Corporation in the middle of the road. The firm, which also does business as The Middlesex Companies, specializes in heavy and civil infrastructure construction (including ports, bridges, and railways), site development, road paving, and asphalt production. Its Florida Asphalt Paving and Florida Asphalt Manufacturing affiliates make and install approximately one million tons of asphalt per year. Middlesex has operations in the New England area and in Central Florida. Chairman Robert Pereira started the enterprise when he founded Middlesex Paving Company in 1972.
