Founded in 1925 by the American Federation of Labor (which became the AFL-CIO) to provide life insurance to union members, ULLICO has since grown into an insurance and financial services holding company. The company serves unionized employers, individual union members, and jointly managed trust funds nationwide through its subsidiaries, including Union Labor Life Insurance and ULLICO Investment Advisors. ULLICO offers an array of individual and commercial insurance products, including annuities, group life and health insurance, property & casualty insurance, liability coverage for unions, and investment services. The company has more than $5.5 billion in total assets under management.
