Company Profile

Mudders get down and dirty with math and science. More than 700 undergraduate students (called "Mudders") attend Harvey Mudd College (HMC), a private liberal arts school that specializes in engineering, mathematics, and the sciences. The college was established in 1955 by mining engineer Harvey S. Mudd, co-founder of one of the richest copper mines in the world, Cyprus Mines. HMC is a member of The Claremont Colleges, a confederation of five independent undergraduate colleges and two graduate schools that is managed by the Claremont University Consortium. The group shares resources and offers dual degree programs. HMC alums include Jonathan Gay, creator of Flash software, and Unison founder Rick Sontag.
