Assurant Employee Benefits provides group dental, disability, term life insurance, and vision plans to companies with fewer than 500 employees. Operating through its Union Security Insurance Company, it underwrites employer-paid and voluntary (employee-paid) products. It owns dental PPO Dental Health Alliance and shares a network of dentists with Aetna. It holds a similar agreement with Vision Service Plan for its vision care insurance. Its products are distributed through a nationwide group sales force and sold by independent brokers and advisors. Assurant Employee Benefits is a unit of Assurant.
