Our schools include: 16 elementary schools, 1 Spanish Immersion elementary school, 1 Mandarin dual language elementary school, 5 comprehensive middle schools, 4 comprehensive high schools and 2 choice schools (grades 6-12). Our Students We have an incredibly diverse district. Based on our 2019 enrollment, 97 languages are spoken in the Bellevue School District, with 39% of students speaking a first language other than English. About one in five students receives free or reduced-price meals. Our Staff We have a staff of about 2,900 employees, including almost 1,500 teachers. Over 400 Bellevue teachers are National Board-certified, more than any other district in the state. More than 75% of our teachers hold a master’s degree. The district is led by Superintendent Dr. Ivan Duran. Five community members make up the Bellevue School District’s Board of Directors, one from each of the five geographical districts. The board members are elected to their posts by registered voters for terms of four years.
