Kelso-Burnett is keeping the city that works wired. One of the Chicago area's largest electrical contractors, Kelso-Burnett also ranks as one of the US's largest specialty contractors. Founded in 1908, the employee-owned firm provides electrical construction services to commercial, industrial, institutional, and utility customers. It also installs telecom, security, closed circuit TV, and sound systems and provides fire alarm and electrical systems testing. Customers include Abbott Laboratories, Kraft Foods, and Bass Pro Shops. Kelso-Burnett is part of the international Federated Electrical Contractors network.
