Lunda Construction Company isn't exactly taking the road less traveled. Quite the contrary, the heavy construction and industrial contractor builds highways, bridges, and dams across Wisconsin and the Midwest. Its industrial division provides structural steel erection, marine construction, rigging, and other specialty services, including demolition, equipment rental, and construction management. Lunda's rail unit (operating under its heavy highway bridge division) performs both scheduled and emergency construction on railroads. Projects have included the I-94 bridge for the WisDoT. Founded in 1938, the firm was owned by the Lunda family until it was sold to Tutor Perini in 2011.
