Why Enpirion? Enpirion doesn't supply just any semiconductors; its semiconductors are a power system on a chip. Enpirion's technology combines a high-efficiency switching DC-DC converter with the functions of a linear regulator. The result touts a minimal footprint, reduced noise and energy consumption, and easy use. Enpirion's system on a chip (SoC) are used in cell phones, data communications and telecommunications equipment, data storage systems, desktop and server computers, laptops and notebooks, PDAs, point-of-sale systems, and set-top boxes. Technologists from Agere Systems and Bell Laboratories founded the company in 2001.
