Company Profile

Queens Park Rangers Football Club plays football (soccer) in England. The club, known as QPR, was originally formed in 1882. In 1886 the team took the name of Queens Park Rangers after merging with a team called Christchurch Rangers. After more than 15 years in the second division, Queens Park Rangers won promotion to the top flight of English soccer (the English Premier League) again in 2011. QPR plays its home matches at the 19,148 capacity Loftus Road Stadium in West London. Tune Group, an investment vehicle for AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes, bought a 66% stake of the football club in 2011. Billionaire Lakshmi Mittal's family owns the remaining 33%.
