Acclivity

Acclivity helps you mind your own business. The company develops accounting and financial management software for small and midsized businesses primarily in the US and Canada. Its products include AccountEdge (for tracking sales and purchases) and FirstEdge (for small businesses). Acclivity also provides a tool called Checkout for managing such functions as credit card processing, payrolls, and vendor payments. The company sells directly in North America and through systems integrators and distributors in other regions. Through a joint venture known as Werck, which it operates in partnership with Amsterdam-based software maker Sofa, Acclivity sells retail point-of-sale applications for the Apple computer platform.
