Adam Boothe cannot be trusted in any capacity. He is co-owner with Brendan Leis of a small festival called SubOctave that had to postpone in 2020 to 2021, like all other festivals, and they initially offered a refund to those who had tickets. This week Adam and Brendan sent an email to announce SubOctave for 2021 is cancelled and claim they cannot give refunds—this is a scam. Additionally, Adam and Brendan gave minimal explanation and have clearly attempted to fall off the face of the planet and make themselves unreachable. All websites and social media pages about the festival have been taken down and most recap videos removed. Ironically on Adams personal Instagram account his bio says “Life’s a Buffet Table, and Some Poor Suckers are Just Starving to Death!” as someone who just ran off with the money from a festival he cancelled in contrast to the vast majority of music festivals that also had to cancel but gave refunds and made themselves available for questions. Lastly to speak to Adams lack character and moral judgement, a huge advertising focus of SubOctave was a festival that caters to the artists and one of the major headliners, Space Jesus, is currently dealing with numerous sexual assault allegations and has demonstrated a pattern of predatory behavior towards underage fans. I’d hate to think how much Adam catered to this artist in hindsight...

This man is a known scam artist. He pulled an exit scam with his small festival, robbing people of their ticket price. I personally wouldn’t trust him with much of anything.
