Great people, Terrible organizational systems & processes The complete lack of organization and shortsighted approach to the work that needed to be done made freelancing for them nearly impossible. Even if my work was completed well in advance, there were always last minute revisions that required me to be at my desk turning things around in under an hour, without any advanced warning. If you've done any contract work for a company, you understand how this can quickly become unmanageable. When you are freelancing/consulting, it's not possible to be available for everyone 24/7, but that's what Burns expected and ultimately required. At first it seemed like this was just due to growing pains (and a lack of resources), but as time went on (over 6 months), nothing changed and it only seemed to get more disorganized. There also seemed to be zero communication between strategists, creative teams, and account managers - everyone was doing their own thing and when it was time to sync up, everyone was going in different directions and there was a ton of wasted effort / confusion. Because everything is behind schedule and last minute, it's impossible to do your best work
