Florida Lottery

The State of Florida Department of the Lottery runs instant-play scratch tickets and lotto games, including Florida Lotto, Mega Money, Fantasy 5, and Cash 3. In addition to its own games, Florida is part of the Multi-State Lottery Association, which operates the popular Powerball drawing. Proceeds from the games are contributed to Florida's Educational Enhancement Trust Fund, which provides funding for a variety of education programs from pre-kindergarten up to the state university level. The lottery has returned more than $19 billion to the state since starting in 1988.
