Specialized services include cardiovascular care, cancer treatment, a sleep disorder center, behavioral health care, obstetrics, and rehabilitation, as well as home health and hospice services. Rockingham Memorial Hospital was founded in 1912. The organization has a teaching relationship with James Madison University. Rockingham Memorial completed construction of a brand new hospital to replace its existing facility in 2010. It was acquired by and merged into regional health system Sentara Healthcare in 2011.
