As a former journalist with NBC News in New York, Ginger Marin wrote for a variety of top NBC News programs including Nightly News, Sunday Today, NBC News Overnight, having written for Tom Brokaw, Maria Shriver, Linda Ellerbee, Garrick Utley, Roger Mudd, Bob Kur, She also produced news feeds for the company's 200 affiliates and wrote and produced for NBC's foreign partner "Visnews", a UK-based entity.
While at NBC, Ginger Marin also worked in the live operations department on the Today Show, Another World, Somerset, The Doctors and Saturday Night Live. She performed as a dsy player actor on The Doctors and Another World.
Ginger Marin currently resides in Los Angeles where she iis an actor and freelance writer of screenplays, short stories, editorials. She co-wrote her first book in July 2014. More details to follow.
Ginger Marin wrote, produced, directed and acted in her first short film in June 2012 - called "Think Tank-A Ginger Marin Film" - a political satire whereby 3 activists "torture by bingo" the President of the United States to give him a piece of their mind about important issues such as bank fraud, insider trading, universal health care and job security. It wasn't just ego, that caused Ginger Marin to attach her name formally to the title, it was because there are a few other films/videos titled "Think Tank" and she didn't want it getting lost in the sea of think tanks.
Ginger Marin holds a B.A. degree in Communications. She studied acting in New York at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and in Los Angeles with Joel Asher and Guy Stockwell - both of whom she considers mentors and friends.
Ginger Marin hopes to write, produce and act in more of her own short films in the very near future.

Ginger Marin has been cast in an independent web series called "GasLamp" that is expected to begin shooting at the end of 2014/early 2015. She plays the mother of a San Diego based jewelry appraiser/detective - a fun premise to be shot in and around the beautiful historic areas of San Diego's Gas Light district.
