Robert Shewbrooks is a marketing and research professional who works in the pharmaceutical industry.
Robert Shewbrooks is a successful marketing researcher. He is currently the principal and practice leader at Health Strategies Group, a pharmaceutical consulting firm based in New Jersey. A resident of Philadelphia, Shewbrooks is a talented leader and researcher and is one of the main reasons why Health Strategies Group is one of the top recommended pharmaceutical consulting firms in the United States. In fact, about 95 percent of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the United States turn to Health Strategies Group for help.

Health Strategies Group has provided sales and marketing information to businesses in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries for more than two decades. He is part of a company that offers the in-depth expertise necessary to acquire information and assemble it to help specific industries with business decisions. Robert Shewbrooks is part of a team that helps with syndicated research and projects that are specific to certain clients that ultimately result in clients turning larger profits than they would have had Health Strategies Group not helped them.

He is also an active philanthropist, donating his time and money to a number of organizations. One that he believes in strongly is the American Heart Association, which is one of the major charities in the United States dedicated to the funding of heart disease research. It is dedicated not just to reducing but hopefully eliminating all cardiovascular diseases as well as strokes. They also offer training and certification in both first aid and CPR.
To get an idea of why Robert Shewbrooks is such as successful professional in the field of marketing research, a look into his educational background and former work experience is necessary. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in general finance from La Salle University back in 1989. His career started just two years later as he jumped into the position of vice president of managed care at Scott-Levin in 1991. He continued on in this role for more than seven years before he joined Health Products Research in September of 1998. There, he spent two years as the vice president of market research.

While Robert Shewbrooks was with Health Products Research, he decided to pick up his Masters of Business Administration, which he also earned at La Salle University. After his time at Health Products Research, he became an integral part of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, which is now part of the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. He acted as the assistant vice president of customer and market insights for more than seven years and led market research and management science divisions. He was also responsible for commercial and brand teams.

In late 2007, he left Wyeth Pharmaceuticals to become the management advisor and vice president of marketing solutions at TGaS Advisors. While there, he completed product development and helped to greatly expand the company’s client base through direct sales. After just under two years there, he finally settled into his current position at Health Strategies Group.

Throughout the period since he earned his Masters of Business Administration from La Salle University, Robert Shewbrooks has taken additional classes in marketing, international business and management from the University of Pennsylvania. He also became a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, which is a national organization comprised of professionals who are all dedicated to pharmaceutical care in healthcare environments. With all of this experience and training, it is easy to see why he is such an asset to his company.

There is a lot more to Robert Shewbrooks than marketing research, of course. He is a dedicated father to his three daughters aged 16, 14 and 12. He enjoys coaching youth soccer for the Central Bucks Athletic Association, which is a charitable and non-profit organization that provides youth recreational sports programs in Central Bucks County. Through coaching, he has been able to teach important life lessons such as why teamwork is so important on the field, in the classroom and in the office. He has also helped his players become healthier through practice and games, which also helps them with their self-confidence.

A big proponent of philanthropy, Robert Shewbrooks has donated time and funds to many organizations throughout the years. One of the biggest groups he has supported is the American Cancer Society. This is an organization that is dedicated to research, advocacy, service and education in the field of cancer care, and seeks to eliminate cancer as one of the most serious health concerns.

The American Cancer Society believes it can accomplish its goal in four ways: preventing cancer, treating cancer, curing cancer and fighting cancer. By promoting healthier lifestyles by offering programs to help people quit smoking and urging people to get regular cancer screenings, the American Cancer Society is already busy in the cancer prevention field. The organization offers free support programs and treatment programs and services to those who are already suffering from cancer. In the goal of curing cancer, the organization is the top supporter of cancer research and study. The organization also works effortlessly to help promote laws, regulations and policies that will help cancer patients down the road.

Another group that Robert Shewbrooks has given to over the years is the March of Dimes Foundation. Founded in 1938 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the purpose was originally to research, treat and eliminate polio. After helping achieve those goals, the organization grew into one that is dedicated to helping pregnant mothers and their babies.

There are three main areas of focus for the March of Dimes Foundation. The first is to prevent infant mortality, which is the death of a child before it reaches the age of one. An infant death could be caused by illness, birth complications or an accident. Training courses are offered to help educate first-time mothers to help with this cause.

The second area is preventing premature birth. This is when an infant is born before it is fully developed. In some cases, this can mean a baby is born before internal organs are fully prepared for postnatal life. Premature birth can occur for a number of reasons, but thankfully because of funds donated by people like Robert Shewbrooks the treatment of premature infants has grown exponentially over the past few decades. Now, instead of simply helping infants survive, hospitals are able to help infants thrive.

The third area of focus is to prevent birth defects. These are preexisting conditions in an unborn baby that are often genetic and can lead to illness, handicap or injury. These sometimes do not become clear until birth or a little after. When not genetic, these are usually because of outside influences from the mother, such as smoking or drinking.

One of the more recent charities that Shewbrooks supports is the Wounded Warrior Project. Founded in 2003, the organization is focused on serving veterans who have served in the wars following the terror attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001. The campaign focuses on the rehabilitation of both physical and mental injuries to the veterans, as well as the support of their families.

The most common injury that veterans share from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is post-traumatic stress disorder. This is a very serious issue that many soldiers need help working through. Thankfully, organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project help take the stigma away from mental health issues and show veterans that they are not any weaker for admitting they need help, which is one of the main reasons why Robert Shewbrooks supports the organization.
While it goes without saying that Robert Shewbrooks is hopeful to further advance in his career, he also has his children’s future to plan for. With his eldest daughter now 16 years old, the next decade or two is sure to bring graduations, engagements, weddings, and perhaps even grandchildren.

He also hopes to have time to enjoy his hobbies a little more. He owns a timeshare in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where he and his family spend their vacations and hopes to get down there more often as his girls get older. When they are not up for a vacation to Mexico, he looks forward to more opportunities to take his kids Ocean City, New Jersey.

An avid fan of skiing, he is looking forward to more opportunities to travel to his favorite skiing spot in Smuggler’s Notch, Vermont, to hit the slopes. Robert Shewbrooks is also a member of his local golf team and enjoys hitting the links. He hopes to shave a few strokes off of his handicap sometime in the near future, which means getting out to the course a lot more often for some extra practice.

He also hopes that he does not have to wait too long to see the donations he made to the American Cancer Society help achieve the group’s ultimate goal: curing cancer. He hopes that he will see the most common forms of cancer—skin cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer—stop killing so many people in his lifetime.
