Toxic and exhausting
Long exhausting hours. This is a thing with most restaurants; however, they are always understaffed which means you have to do everything on your own, and at the bigger locations it is exhausting! I use to work at the Bayard street location, and that place was huge. I had to do everything such as cashier, business running, clean tables, throw trash, clean windows, refill, cook the buns, clean bathrooms, mop floors and handle customer disputes since none of the noodle strechers spoke any English. I wonder why I wasn't a manager but just a regular associate getting paid just a bit above minimum wage, oh that's right, none of the stores have a manager in order to save money but they do have creepy cameras watching your every move and they will call in if you have done something displeasing. And, at times, they made me travel from one location to another just to grab some noodles so they can make an extra 20 bucks. Meanwhile there are more than 3 cooks there just flipping their noodles and won't help at all while sharing my tip jar. And their smaller locations aren't any better. It was so small everything was cramped and my store leader cut her hand while making noodles because the spacing of the board was right next to the stove with a sharp edge seprating them. At the same time, nobody said anything. This place needs to be reported and investigated. Furthermore, I worked till I was sick and they didn't even pay me for my sick days when I called out. Then, there was one day I was so tired I couldn't wake up and they fired me for it. This is abuse. Oh and the music sucks, there was this one old school hiphop song where it's literally shouting profanities extremely loud and people bring their families there to eat. I've had multiple complaints about the songs but hey I didn't create the playlist. Now imagine working for 10 hours with this playlist on repeat.
