I hope you do not fall into the trap, that is working for The PIT, for Ali. Terribly authoritarian, controlling, ego driven leadership, primarily from The PIT's owner & founder. - The PIT is a Family business, for profit - NOT a mission driven organization. - Toxic culture. In the wake of #metoo, numerous complaints about harassment and years of mismanagement came to surface. This included frustrating complaints about the theater's leadership, namely the owner, Ali Farahnakian. (google it). - Since then, the gross majority of longstanding performers, teachers, and staff have parted ways with the theater, and are now performing and working elsewhere in the city. It's sad! - Extremely high turn over in the office, due to low pay and poor management. - As a manager, I was asked to engage in activities that raised red flags for me - paying certain employees and contractors off the books, full time employees allowed to live in the theater/office, since they did not make enough money at the theater to pay their rent.
