Unless you are between the ages of 22 and 29, white, are a size 0 or 2 and have platinum blonde hair... you will not do well here. While hiring both full time employees and interns, current employees would pull up the candidates Instagram profiles and ruthlessly judge the girls. You are hired based on your looks and Instagram, not on skill and merit. Being overworked and underpaid makes up about 90% of Bollare?s employees. Unless you are the select few ?favorites? expect to be overworked and not paid appropriately. Directors have to approve all overtime hours ahead of time and hold the right to deny your overtime hours worked. Working passed your hours and not getting paid is part of the work culture. There is very little room for growth in this company. Managers and Directors are bullies and like to keep their assistants at the assistant level. Your superiors are not interested in your own professional growth. Managers and Directors often leave the office for hours to run ?errands? while everyone else does the work for them. These ?errands? were more often than not trips to the nail salon or boozy lunches. The Principal likes to play buddy buddy with everyone but is really the Regina George of the office. Holiday bonuses were not given to all employees. In an office of 25, only a select handful would receive a bonus. The Principal advertises these bonuses and if you do not get one you are made to feel bad about yourself and your work. What seemed like the perfect job and the best place to start my career in the fashion industry turned out to be a complete nightmare. While there were some good people at the company, they move on quickly.
