Don't be drawn in by the hype of working in comics; otherwise, leave your ethics and scruples at home. Though they make it seem exciting and glamorous and fun at first, Upper Management soon reveal themselves to be unscrupulous and morally questionable at best. Acting out of petty selfishness and in an effort to make themselves look impressive even at the expense of other companies and individuals (even those that work with them), the men who run Wizard run the company as though this is their first attempt at owning and operating a business and as though they just started it last month rather than almost two decades ago. (As of late, they've even resorted to firing people over the phone on Sundays rather than doing it face-to-face and having to look those people in the eye.) Company owners still act and feel as though it's the 1990s and they're the biggest and only comic book publisher and convention circuit around. Also, there is a pervasive sense of sexism against female employees, especially from Upper Management; if you're a lady who wants to work at Wizard, bring a thick skin or have a good attorney on retainer.
