This company promises that there will be working microphones and cameras as part of the job and to the contrary, microphones do not work and there are no cameras. They did not know that the students did not have email accounts set up that are required so the teacher and students can communicate with one another and to hand in homework and projects. They did not find out if there were any students with special needs in the class. I found this out 1 month into the teaching job from a teacher at the school. They often did not know how to resolve technical problems which is unacceptable when you are required to work using their technology. They did not know that the students do not have their own copy of the textbook. They did not know that teaching a modern, foreign language requires conversation and without working microphones and no cameras available, failure is inevitable. For the company head to have "over 20 years experience teaching in the public school system", one would expect that she would have some kind of idea of what a teacher needs to know before teaching a class.
