All of the other positive reviews are coaxed by the management from ex-employees who left (got out) on good terms. As other reviewers says, one of the founders is clueless, often unethical, and if you have to work for that person, you're going to hate your job. Even technical and design staff who don't have to work with that person dislike him, and every work outing or drinks is essentially a dish session about how much that person is an impediment to most people doing their jobs. Its a small company, so everyone can see how incompetent that person is. They (all other upper managers) have been trying to change it for years - the culture, him, etc. But it is impossible. Remember reading this review, if you tell yourself its going to change. Most staff under that manager have quit or been fired after 6-24 months. Honestly, ask them if anyone reporting to him has been there longer than 2 years! A recent senior sales member couldn't leave fast enough to go to a direct competitor in the same town. Compensation is often below others in the industry, as recruiters will tell you. Also, this senior manager will nickel and dime you at every turn. A few different staff members have noted this. Most staff are looking to this job as a stepping stone (junior staff from General Assembly looking to get experience), are in another office on another continent, or have complete autonomy in not having to deal with this co-founder at all. Most staff with a decent resume are looking to leave or have their unique reasons to stay. The other co-founder is extremely apathetic and puts on a good face, but really wouldn't ever pull up his pants and deliver an ultimatum or drive change. If I was a candidate or a prospective client, I would ask for specific Linkedin links to your project team/your colleagues. You'll see what I mean about this company.
