Didn't get paid Because it's a small company you are naturally working until late hours, probably including weekends. That isn't much of a problem since it's part of the job that I enjoy doing. The problem is all the false promises he made regarding payment. I'm pretty sure the employees and freelancer/contractors alike were told the same thing. It's frustrating to spend so much of your time focused on work and find out you've been scammed.
