Do not work here This is now a miserable place to work. I can not even recommend for someone to be a customer. I am embarrassed when I talk to another person in the industry when I tell them I work at KEH. KEH has completely lost it's way. Upper management is terrible. They are clueless about how the company and industry work. Their egos will not allow them to ask people with knowledge and experience for guidance. One of them has been arrested for embezzlement and the others turn a blind eye. At the end of last year a hand full of people were forced to take a week or more off for unused PTO. Other people lost up to three weeks of PTO and were not allowed to take time off and were not given compensation. The first week of 2017 we found out that we are all getting five fewer days of PTO this year that last I n an email. In the same email, we were told that we accept this by continuing to work at KEH. I would have said benefits were a positive for working here until this. The upper management looks down on the people below them and do appreciate or recognize the work and value of the work done. If you work here you will be talked down to and belittled. The people who evaluate the equipment coming through are not allowed to be properly trained and are told to do their job improperly. Not all gear gets fully tested before being sold. If an items looks good, it might not be fully evaluated. The people who receive what comes in to the warehouse are told to not open or receive the equipment that customers send in to sell. It sits in the warehouse for at least a week before being received into our system. People in contact with the customers have to lie and say gear has been received without actually knowing if it is in the building. Checks being sent out as payment to customers for gear that has been bought are sometimes held for up to three days before being put in the mail. I feel that this is unethical. We used to say that we would issue payment within 24 business hours, but had to remove it from our website as it became false advertising. The supposed leaders make unethical decisions regarding customers and employees regularly.
