Employees Don't Leave Bad Jobs, They Leave Bad Bosses You will work hard, and this might be too much for you. The hours get strenuous, and the tasks get tedious and "too much to handle" Senior Management - I feel like they act like the "Hot N Cold" Katy Parry song sometime. There are serious bad days you want to crawl under your desk in to the fetal position then there are good days that give you hope (don't hold on to it too long, they'll soon smash it out of your hands). I am talking about senior management, not all Directors. This is an unorganized company, plans never get put into place when they say they will be, there is no training program to ensure employee success for most positions (sink or swim environment, and almost everyone is drowning at different points, multiple times). The whole building itself is unorganized, all marketing collateral is scattered throughout the building. Senior management can be toxic. I use this word because it's the most suiting. I do not think senior management has ever stopped to look at a problem holistically from an true employee stand point to their assessment. I know P&L is what makes a company successful, but it's not a personal thing, this is a business. I wish they would treat it as such with a proactive attitude. Low pay. Compare salaries for your position, it's not nearly at industry standard. I feel raises are just a game as well, they rarely ever happen. High Turnover - People stay on average about two years from what I noticed. There are some veterans, but they are not on the account side. It's rare to find an account employee there for more than 5 years. This goes back to the tile of my review - "Employees Don't Leave Bad Jobs, They Leave Bad Bosses". This is entirely the case at UMI, Be prepared for tons of stress, to be shamed, degraded and humiliated(even after you leave - yes, senior management calls meeting to talk about past employees, it feels like a gossip session). Again remember, the mood changes so it really puts people off. Why can't we just be normal? All in all, I put this company at a 4 on a scale of 1-10.
