Good place to start out, but.... Financial Sciences' lack of process makes software cycle unncessarily stressful. In general, the senior management has been there a long time so there is a lot of ingrained behavior/stubborness and I wouldn't expect this to change. It's very hard to get process improvements even when you have a better argument. Additionally, they kind of string your along when it comes to compensation and raises. When the company doesn't have a lot of paying projects they say maybe next year. Then when they get paying projects they want to reinvest in the business. Typically you'll get a bonus, but you're annual salary is already about 10K-20K below what you can get at another job. Additional bonuses may be offered for specific projects, but the terms of them are usually pretty vague. Expect to follow up a lot to get what they promise.
