If an employer complains about every employee they?ve ever hired, maybe it?s not the employees: it?s them. Spent the majority of my interviews complaining about an employees pregnancy, another former employee?s race and health issues, and making fun of the way another former employee breathed. It was uncomfortable to know so much about former/current employees' personal business. -Says that there?s benefits but is "too busy" to give out the paperwork to sign on with the health insurance and IRA. None of the employees during the time period I was there received paperwork to start an IRA. -Got mad when I gave him a heads up that I?d have regular doctor?s appointments, then advised me that my doctors appointments were an ?attendance issue." -Insecure boss that likes to monitor employees outside of work. Would call me in his office to bring up inappropriate topics and rub my back. Every time I made a post on social media, I would get called in the office the next day and reprimanded for not ?sharing" with him. -Make sure to get everything detailed out in writing, like the ability to work from home one day a week. Make sure to get any commission in writing, as well, and monitor your vacation time. You will be looking out for yourself.
