Production coordinator for 2-3 years at Bridge Street inc. Bridge street was a very small company and we stayed that way for the entirety of my 2 almost 3 years of working there. They constantly were getting rid of people and hiring people. High turnover rate. Which then impacted the support we had while working these giant concerts and events. And at most times multiple events at a time. Bridge street had developed its own system for office organization, however it was very unorganized at times and systems often didn?t stay in place for very long. There was no HR so any problem you had with the CEO or any employee could only go to the CEO. Employee confidentiality was non-existent and gossip was sort of a normal thing. LATE LATE LATE working hours during production but that?s the nature of production, so if you can?t do it then it?s probably not your line of work. Because the team was always so small, communication was very limited and not relayed fast enough and it was really tough to get thru to the CEO as he is a CEO so he is always busy, but is the decision maker which can be extremely frustrating when everything is so very fast paced & on a schedule. Annual reviews and pay weren?t always tracked so if you?re working there please be aware of your last increase and review because believe me it will get pushed back. Gossip and badmouthing about other employees was definitely a normal thing. But don?t participate in it as you were probably a topic of discussion at some point. Favorites are definitely a thing. Last thing I will say is there was a lack of structure & support with Bridge Street. If there was more of a team and better management I think this company could?ve gone to great heights.
