Employees are constantly afraid of being fired and backstabbing is the norm. - Developers get a good amount of equity but the CEO likes to fire people before they reach their one-year vesting cliff. If you are thinking about working here for the equity, beware! - CEO keeps everything to himself - does not delegate, empower, or invest in his employees. Does not provide an effective vision that is transformational or inspiring to his employees. - Genuine lack of care by management for employees. Advice to Management Hey Board of Directors, listen up! The CEO needs to go. He is an ego-ridden, incompetent, toxic child who has no idea how to build an empowered work culture for his employees. The majority of people that work here are great developers who live in a permanent state of fear. If you are a gifted developer, take your talents elsewhere - your tenure here will most likely last less than a year, and you will regret the time you could have spent at a company that is a much better fit. Life is too short - don't waste your most valuable asset (your time) working for people who demean, degrade, and de-value you as a human being.
