Becky is a trusted and respected HR Professional who leads the HR function to be a strategic business partner to the organization.

Becky is currently the HR Director for Woodward Communications, Inc. She has served in this role since February 2014. During this time, she has restructured the HR Department to better serve the organization and the employee owners. She has lead notable changes in the areas of recruitment and onboarding, management development, employee benefits, performance management, HR and payroll systems, and employee retention. Becky also promotes employee ownership by serving as the VP of Membership for the Iowa/Nebraska Chapter of the ESOP Association.

Becky began her career as an HR professional as in Intern at Isola Laminate Systems in La Crosse, WI. Becky was afforded MANY developmental opportunities, including leading the consolidation of five employee handbooks and serving as the interim HR Manager for our plant in Chandler, AZ. When Isola moved its corporate offices to AZ, Becky then joined HCR ManorCare in Dubuque, IA, as the HR Manager. Learning that this environment wasn't the best fit for her, Becky joined Capital Newspapers in Madison, WI, starting her career in the media industry. Becky has taken on progressively responsible roles since she started in the media industry in 2004. In 2009, looking for more experience with benefits administration and a culture that was a better fit for her, she joined Woodward Communications, Inc. in Dubuque, Iowa. Becky is seen as a fair and respected leader who is comfortable recommending and implementing change.

Becky is intrinsically motivated by others valuing her thoughts and ideas and by being challenged. While she doesn't know what her next career move will be, she is very happy developing her expertise and providing advice and counsel to leaders across the organization.
