While I had a limited experience in dealing with Chris, I must say that overall his publication Technical.ly is largely ignored by the tech community. Asides from some sensational hit pieces that remind me of ValleyWag/Gawker (which got sued out of existence), I'd be surprised if Technical.ly was still in business 5 years from now. While Chris writes a lot about innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship, I don't believe he has ever created a successful startup (in my eyes and that of others I know Technical.ly is a pretty big joke and not read, unlike its competitors such as TechCrunch or VentureBeat). There are some that write about entrepreneurs and those that are. Chris, in my opinion, is the former, and I strongly believe that Technical.ly will either continue to be widely ignored by entrepreneurs in tech or will eventually go out of business.
