An Honest (Mostly Negative) Review
A company that has non-existent growth and a broken culture. 10+ years in the business and it still stuck in the same cycle of unrewarding work, poor communication, mismanagement, a lack of direction, obsolete business practices and a dysfunctional working environment. Lead by an uncaring, self-absorbed, autocratic CEO, his very small team is made up of life long veterans with stale roles that will never see change and have become comfortable with their roles with no new ideas to give. They are overworked and having work/life balance (e.g. leaving on time, family) is perceived by the CEO as being lazy. He makes terrible impulse decisions that directly affect the company and employees tend to quit or get fired before a year; it is a revolving door of employees. New hires will find the hospitable first day of work accommodations gradually decline (if not abruptly) with "meetings" with the CEO. He pretends he listens and cares, but use your concerns and critiques against you. And did I mention pay? The company wants top talent/experience/credentials but gives you bottom of the barrel pay. No HR either which connects to the CEO?s autocratic regime. It prides itself to be the very best in its market but really it's not. The software it sells is buggy, unpolished, unoptimised and arduous to use. Newer clients will find it outdated. It was a blessing that I got out of this company. The only thing that will save them is to sell the business, get bought out by their competition or get out lived by them, which will eventually happen. Then again, with the CEO's attitude, the wheels will just go round and round. Bottom line: stay away and look for something else even if you're desperate for a job. If you do take the job offer, it is guaranteed that you will regret it.
