The level of micromanaging creates a lot of extra work on people, and slows down anything you need to do. During the interviews, the company is oversold, they lie about job expectations and culture. Once you are in, it quickly becomes apparent that is was all fake. Upper management is not open to trusting people to use their expertise to bring new ideas to the table. Everything must come from the executives.
