It?s a lie when you do the math. The company makes over $225 a member or something like that which means that for a $20 donation that person needs to stay on for over a year before the non-profit actually sees a return on that donation. I guess this is more a knock on canvassing as a whole by 3rd party groups. Unless the canvassing program is being run internally it doesn?t actually make the non-profit money. The ?lie? I?m talking about though is how they tell you how much of a difference you?re making. I guess they gotta tell you something to make you feel good for going out there and taking crap from strangers all day.
